  • Woodstock History Center 26 Elm Street Woodstock, VT, 05091 (map)

ZOOM PROGRAM

Dr. Alexandra Garrett will present a Zoom program in which she discusses the impact of the American Revolution on the Loyalists — Americans who remained loyal to the British Crown and consequently lost their property, homes, and connections to the colonies.

This program is sponsored by the Woodstock History Center. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of the Woodstock History Center or its partners.

Dr. Alexandra Garrett is an assistant professor in the History program at Saint Michael's College in Colchester. She teaches all their early American courses, ranging from the colonial era through the end of the Civil War. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, and her B.A. from St. Olaf College. She specializes in the revolutionary and early national eras, with a focus on women, business, and slavery. She was recently named by Gov. Phil Scott as the Revolutionary War Historian for the state's 250th Commission.
