Following the debut of Prince Albert's Christmas tree at Windsor Castle in the 1840s, decorated evergreen trees became a central part of many families' holiday celebrations. Early Christmas trees were often decorated with edible cookies, nuts, fruits, and homemade ornaments.
In keeping with the tradition of decorating with homemade ornaments, the Woodstock History Center is offering a "craft circle" in November. In this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to socialize and chat while making a vintage-style ornament using a variety of ribbons, pins, beads, and other decorative materials.
WORKSHOP FEE: $10.00
