One of the recurring themes in historic memoirs is the importance of socializing. Our ancestors cherished the chance to gather—whether it was around a potbellied stove at the country store or in a neighbor’s home on a Sunday afternoon. These visits provided entertainment, but they also served as a way of preserving history through stories passed down by word of mouth.
As the days grow shorter and cooler, the Woodstock History Center invites community members to join us for an informal gathering to share conversation, stories, and memories. We'll begin by showcasing a selection of old-fashioned photographs and objects, which may spark recollections of Woodstock from years past (or perhaps recollections of other times and places). From there, guests are welcome to linger, enjoy cider and doughnuts, and catch up with friends both new and old.
Program will be held in the Woodstock History Center’s Barn Gallery.
