July 4, 1920, was celebrated at the County Fair Grounds in Woodstock.
There were over 2,000 adults who enjoyed “picture entertainment,” a baseball game, and a dance.
In 1964 Dick and Elaine Tracy were running the grill and hot dogs were a quarter.
The Lion’s Club 4th of July Fair attracted a crowd of about 15,000 with a dance, talent show, dog show, tank battle demonstrations, sky divers, and more.
In 1983, many people competed in a running race despite the heat.
