Polly Forcier will provide an overview of historic stenciled walls from northern New England. Polly is a teacher, artist, historical preservationist, and the founder of MB Historic Decor, a company that offers more than 700 historically-accurate reproduction wall and floor stencils from the late 1700s, 1800s, and early 1900s.

The presentation will be followed by an opportunity to see one of the Woodstock History Center’s new artifacts — a piece of a stenciled wall from the Noah Wood house in Woodstock and enjoy historic treats.

Polly has made a career of researching and recreating early American historic stencils. She founded MBHistoricDecor.com which offers authentic stencil reproductions on mylar, stenciling paints, and brushes so that people can decorate their own homes with these wonderful patterns. Her work has been featured in Early American Life, Country Living, Colonial Homes, Antiques Magazine, Colonial Reproduction and Design 2005, Old House Interiors, Old House Journal and others.
