In a time before television and radio, people often amused themselves by playing a variety of parlor games that provided opportunities to have fun while socializing and sharpening their wits.

In keeping with this tradition, the Woodstock History Center is starting a new drop-in program that is centered around learning about and playing historic games such as backgammon, checkers, Parcheesi, Cats and Mice, and a variety of old card games.

Games will be taught for those who have not played them before. All experience levels welcome!

The first session will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 10:00-11:30 am.
