In this Zoom program, the Woodstock History Center’s Executive Director Matt Powers will focus on the analysis of a 19th-century photograph to show just how much historical information can be gleaned from a single image. The photo, taken from the vantage point of Mount Peg, includes the commercial district and some of the homes in Woodstock Village. As we zoom into minute parts of the photo, discover the locations of blacksmith shops, photo studios, and much more — all hiding in plain sight!
